Clinical Evaluations – What to Expect

Neuropsychological evaluations involve detailed face-to-face interviews to understand the client’s view of the situation, as well as standardized psychological, intellectual, and cognitive testing to get an objective handle on how the client is functioning. This can take as little as an hour or two, or as much as two days, depending on the nature of the problem and the referral question. Often an evaluation involves reviewing other medical records, and with the client’s permission talking with family or other involved people.

Drs. Willson and Yablick perform these services personally, then prepares a written report summarizing the results and making appropriate recommendations. They provide direct feedback and can help educate and guide clients, family, caregivers, and others.
